Alright folks, here is the next attack from the WI GOP. They’ve attacked our elections. They’ve attacked our schools and our jobs. And now, State Chair of ALEC or the American Legislative Exchange Council, the shady corporate run organization that wrote all of this voter suppression, medicaid killing, education killing, privatization, and union busting legislation. Robin is also a poster boy for the Walker run legislature and an assembly representative. Robin and I have a long history, he is the same representative who had me carried out of several meetings for silently holding a constitution, the same representative who once called me an “arrogant little prick”. The same representative who pays $2,100 a year in dues to ALEC from his campaign funds (wonder if his donors know?). The same Robin Vos who enjoys skinny dipping and erotica according to his match.com profile.
Just when you thought you could not have any lower of a human being he stoops even lower. In a video posted here Robin apparently learns a lesson or two from me and decides to post a video blog. What he failed to learn is that posting a video does not mean you are destroying democracy. In this video Robin Vos says that he wants to introduce legislation to restrict recalls. You would have to commit a crime while in office to be recalled. This makes no sense and is simply an attack on democracy. If someone votes on legislation that will drastically and negatively impact every person who makes less than $100k a year I think that is grounds enough for recall. What Robin is suggesting is removal of recalls and I expect you all to call your legislators.
Additionally, on August 25 there will be a major rally on the square. At noon and 5 there will be organized rallies and at 4:30 there will be a march from Library Mall in Madison. If you have been waiting to come out for a rally this is it. This is when the majority of state employees start feeling their pay, the money they use to feed their kids and live, getting cut. Until then we will keep up the pressure. One day longer. One day stronger.
